The unit is fully split with the housing made of cast iron and the split bush gunmetal. For Medium duty units the gunmetal bearings are 1 1\/2 diameters through (i.e.: \u2013 A bush for a 2\u2033 shaft is 3\u2033 long.) For heavy duty units the gunmetal bearings are 2 diameters through (i.e.: \u2013 A bush for a 4\u2033 shaft is 8\u2033 long.)
